I can relax and spend time with friends and family. But during my relaxation time, I watch movies as well, this time, its Korean movies. I’ve gain time starting from a few days before the holiday starts to watch movies, Korean movies particularly. At first, I borrowed a movie from a friend a couple of weeks before the holiday and got the time to watch it right just before the break starts. The movie that made me cried simultaneously starting from the middle of the movie; A Millionaire’s Love.
Usually, the stories would be about love contradiction between two to four people, the main character suffer from an illness or a problem between a man and woman that ended into a love relationship. However, the storyline that goes throughout the movie is the trigger of making many young or old ladies’ feelings to be touched and fell in love to watch more Korean movies. But when I come to think of it, the men that acted very sweetly and romantic would be just in the story and a one-night dream and would be hard to find in real life.
*SPOILER ALERT ON*
I’m going to tell a little bit about the movie, A Millionaire’s Love. It’s a story about a young spoiled brat who when he turns 17 years old, he will inherited his entire grandfather’s wealth, we’ll call him Mr. A. However, his grandfather had made a will forcing his grandson to graduate from a small school in an old village. There, he met a girl, Ms. B, whom he had forgotten because he didn’t want to remember the tragedy that happened in the past.
Long time ago, Mr. A and Ms. B had spent their childhood together. But one day, Mr. A’s family forces him to leave the village and promised Ms. B to get back. However, Mr. A had an accident where his parents left him to be with his grandfather. From then on, he was greatly devastated and forgotten everything about the village.
Ms. B had tried to remind Mr. A about their childhood together and as they started to live the past again, they have to undergo it hardly since Ms. B suffers from an illness. An illness of the heart that one may not be surprised nor suddenly be happy, preventing Mr. A to express his love. But this young lover just can’t help it since they are both deeply in love. One of my favorite scenes is during the last days of Ms. B; Mr. A had prepared a small birthday party even though it’s not that day. As a present, Mr. A gave s bottle full of colorful plastic fills and inside is small strips of paper written by him about how much he loves in sweet words to Ms. B.
When he handed the bottle to Ms. B, he said with a sad smile and tears in his eyes,
“Hey, only one per day, don’t overdose it.”
She excused herself to the bedroom. She opened one of the pills and read it. She cried and opens another one again, again and again. As she read those words, she was welled-up with tears.
Soon, Mr. A came into the room and she said it with tears,
“I’m afraid that I won’t be able to have time to read it all.”
Mr. A wanted her to read it all but also doesn’t want her to read it all because he’s afraid that her heart couldn’t handle it.
*SPOILER ALERT OFF*
It was such a great movie. I recommend it to all of you movie lovers because maybe sometimes you need to watch a sad movie as well. For the boys who are wondering why girls loves to watch Korean movies, just watch this first. ^_-
